Queeqs (“Platform”) is a mobile application that helps pet owners manage pet profiles, health, growth, breeding records, playdates, and veterinary connections. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Queeqs, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Phone number (for account login via OTP).
- Pet profile details (name, breed, gender, age, photo, status).
- Optional health & breeding info (vaccinations, medications, growth, breeding records).
- Photos & videos you upload (e.g., pet profile pictures, health records, breeding history images).
- Location data (to show nearby vets and breeding/playdate distances).
- User content (comments, reminders, notes).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to deliver Queeqs’ core features, keep your experience personalized, and ensure app safety. Specifically:
- Phone Number (for OTP login):
- Used solely to authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- Example: When you log in, you’ll receive a one-time SMS code that verifies it’s you.
- We do not use your phone number for marketing or display it to other users.
- Pet Profiles (name, breed, age, gender, photo, status):
- Used to create your pet’s identity within the app and make profiles searchable.
- Example: When you list “Max, 2-year-old Labrador, available for breeding,” that profile is shown to other users under the “Find Breeding Mate” screen.
- Health, Growth & Breeding Records (optional):
- Stored so you can track your pet’s history and get reminders.
- Examples:
- Vaccination entries generate reminders two days before and on the due date.
- Weight/height logs allow you to view a growth chart in the “Pet Health” tab.
- Breeding records (mating, ultrasound, whelping) generate analytics such as average litter size or breeding success rates.
- This data is private by default and only shared if you choose to enable sharing when sending a friend/breeding request.
- Photos & Videos (camera or gallery uploads):
- Used to enhance pet profiles and health/breeding records.
- Example: You can upload a vaccination certificate photo to keep all medical data in one place.
- These files are stored securely and visible only to you, unless you decide to share them with another user.
- Location Data (Apple Maps API):
- Used to enable location-based features.
- Examples:
- “Nearest Vet” shows nearby veterinary clinics on a map.
- “Find Breeding Mate” displays distance (e.g., “Lucy the Beagle is 5 km away”).
- Location is requested only when you use these features and is not stored permanently.
- Friend Requests (breeding/playdate):
- Used to connect you with other users.
- Example: If you send a breeding request, you can include your pet’s breeding history so the other owner can decide whether to accept. If you select “playdate,” only basic profile info is shared.
- Notifications & Reminders:
- Used to keep your pet’s care on track.
- Examples:
- “Rabies vaccination due tomorrow at 10 AM.”
- “Deworming reminder: Tablet today at 8 PM.”
- “Friend request received from Bella (Golden Retriever).”
- App Performance & Safety:
- We analyze anonymized usage and crash data to improve stability.
- Example: If a crash is detected during photo uploads, logs help us fix the bug.
- Security checks may also prevent spam requests or fraudulent account creation.
- Legal Compliance & Security:
- Data may be used to comply with legal requests, enforce our Terms of Use, or protect users.
- Example: If we detect multiple failed OTP attempts from the same device, we may temporarily block login to prevent abuse.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share data only with:
- Service providers (hosting, OTP/SMS providers, Apple Maps API, analytics).
- Other users (only if you choose to share pet health/breeding info in requests).
- Legal authorities if required by law.
4. Your Choices
- Edit or delete pet profiles at any time.
- Delete your account from within the app (removes personal data from active systems, subject to legal retention).
- Revoke permissions (camera, photos, location) in device settings.
5. Reporting Objectionable Content
Queeqs provides a mechanism to flag and report objectionable or abusive content:
- You can use the “Report” option available in profiles, content, or settings.
- Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
- Action will be taken within 24 hours, which may include removing the content, warning the user, or suspending their account.
- You may also directly report issues by emailing grievance@queeqs.co.
6. Blocking Abusive Users
Queeqs allows you to block abusive or unwanted users:
- Once blocked, the user cannot send you friend, playdate, or breeding requests.
- Blocked users cannot view your shared content.
- You may unblock them anytime from your settings.
- Blocking helps you stay safe and in control of your interactions.
7. Security
- OTPs are temporary and expire after use.
- Data is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls.
- We recommend keeping your device secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
- Queeqs is not for children under 7 years of age (or the minimum digital consent age in your country).
- We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers outside your country.
We ensure adequate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses for EU users).
10. Updates
We may update this Policy.
Updates will be posted in-app or on our website.
Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
